Living in Tangletown

Washburn House sits at 50th & Lyndale, one of South Minneapolis' most established neighborhood corners. Coffee, dinner, and daily errands are a short walk. Minnehaha Creek runs two blocks south, Lake Harriet and its trails are minutes west, and 35W is right there when you need to get somewhere.

This is the tradeoff Tangletown buyers have never had before: the neighborhood they already know, without the maintenance of the 80-year-old house that usually comes with it.

Washburn House FAQ

When will Washburn House be completed?

Pre-sales are open now. Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with completion and move-ins targeted for the first half of 2028.

How much do homes at Washburn House cost?

Two-level walk-up homes start in the upper $700s, single-level homes range from the upper $900s to $1.35M, and penthouses run up to $1.45M. Fourteen of the fifteen residences remain available. Contact us for the current price list and floor plans.

What is the parking situation?

Every residence includes two parking spaces in a climate-controlled underground garage beneath the building, made possible by a car-lift system. The garage connects to secure entry and elevator access up to the homes.

Can I tour a model home?

Not yet. Washburn House is pre-construction, so there is no model to walk through. The best next step is a meeting with our team, in person or over video, to go through floor plans, finishes, and pricing.

Can buyers choose their finishes?

Yes. Each home comes with a choice of three finish packages, so buying during pre-sales means you set your own palette.

What do the HOA dues cover?

Dues cover water, sewer, trash, building maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal, which is a large part of why Washburn House costs less to carry each year than a comparable South Minneapolis single-family home. Final dues figures are being finalized; contact us for current estimates.

Who is behind Washburn House?

Washburn House is developed by Master Properties, designed by Christian Dean Architecture with interiors by Metropolis Design Group, and built by BJ Baas Builders. All are Minneapolis-based. Sales are handled by TheAdvisors at DRG.
