The Ivy Residences: Unsurpassed Downtown Luxury
Located at 201 S 11th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403, The Ivy is a mixed-use complex that includes The Ivy Residences with 92 luxury condos and the Ivy Hotel with 136 rooms. Completed in 2007, the project added a modern 26-story high-rise to the historic nine-story Ivy Tower. The original building dates to 1930 and was designed by Thomas R. Kimball in the rare Ziggurat/Mesopotamia style. It was saved from demolition when the Starwood Corporation reached an agreement with the city to incorporated the landmark into their plans for a world-class hotel. This original portion still stands at 1115 2nd Avenue South with a three-story connector that attaches to the main building. The resulting Ivy Hotel + Residences wraps around the corner of 2nd Ave S and S 11th Street, with a modernist flair that contrasts nicely to the original tower. The Ivy is similar to the Four Seasons Private Residences in that both are upscale hotel and condo developments in the Downtown West neighborhood.
Residences at The Ivy come in14 different floorplans, with one to three bedrooms and up to three baths.
