The Lourdes Square Lifestyle Experience
Located on a large parcel of land that once housed a Coca-Cola bottling plant, the Lourdes Square townhomes were constructed in a brick rowhouse style that fits in nicely with the historic nature of the St. Anthony Main neighborhood. The 40 multilevel residences with their lovely window bays each have their own individual addresses, from 116-194 Bank Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414. The three and four bedroom homes at this lovely garden courtyard community have their own private yards and terraces, as well as two-car garages. These are some of the most coveted properties in Minneapolis, with many offering stellar views of the river. Other townhome communities in the Northeast region include the Village Brownstones, Eden Square, and Marquette Townhomes.
Built in 1994, the 40 townhomes at Lourdes Square come in a variety of layouts and designs, with either two or three levels depending on the individual residence. There can be anywhere from two to four bedrooms, and from three to four baths. The majority of residences have three bedrooms, but some owners have chosen to convert dens or family rooms into additional bedrooms. The homes usually have either an interior elevator or a space for one. Features and finishes can include hardwood floors, triple window bays, towering built-ins, fireplaces, and upper level skylights. The chef-inspired open kitchens have stone counters, custom cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. Inviting individual brick walkways lead up to the front doors, and each residence has its own two-car garage. These are exceptional townhomes with bedrooms at the upper level, along with inviting living spaces and high ceilings. There are private outdoor spaces at each level, such as roof decks, screened terraces, patios, and yards.
Townhomes at Lourdes Square come in rowhouse-style configurations with approximately nine separate buildings. These buildings (each with side-by-side individual townhomes) are surrounded by greenery, community streets, and extra parking. The townhomes closest to Central Ave have roof decks with views of the river, while the other residences have gabled roofs. Outdoor spaces can be varied, according to the design and surrounding landscaping for each building. This means that some homes have a patio while others can have a yard. The driveway entrance to the community is on Bank Street, right where it meets the curve of Lourdes Place. The pet-friendly townhouse development doesn’t have the same type of shared amenities as some condominiums, but each individual residence has its own upscale features and conveniences, from private garages to exquisite upscale finishes.

Living in the Old St. Anthony Main Neighborhood
Located on the former site of a Coca-Cola bottling factory, Lourdes Square is an upscale townhome community with leafy landscaping and a close proximity to the Mississippi River. This area is often referred to as Old St. Anthony Main, as it is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the Northeast Minneapolis region. The multilevel Lourdes Square townhomes are just down the street from the landmark Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and quite close to the Third Avenue Bridge which crosses over St. Anthony Falls to the Mill District on the other side of the river. Residents of the townhome development enjoy being close to well-known local restaurants like Aster House, All Saints Restaurant, and Kramarczuk’s Sausage Company. The Lunds & Byerlys grocery store is about a block away, and there are so many other shops, bookstores, thrift stores, and other attractions along University Ave. Nicollet Island is right across the river, and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is about a mile away.
