The Modern Appeal of Lindsay Lofts

Located at 408 N 1st Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401, Lindsay Lofts is right next door to Riverwalk Lofts, which was once the main headquarters of the Lindsay Brothers Company. The brothers, who dealt in farm implement sales, later built a secondary warehouse. That low-rise structure was ultimately razed in order to develop Lindsay Lofts. These condos are some of the most spacious in the North Loop neighborhood with one and two-bedroom floorplans ranging from approximately 1,610 to over 2,325 square feet of sophisticated living space. Seventh floor penthouses offer some of the best views in the area.

While residences at Lindsay Lofts aren’t lofts in the typical sense, they do embody certain loft-style characteristics such as high ceilings, open layouts, French doors leading to bedrooms, and in some cases, exposed brick walls and interior columns. These are modern luxury condos with maple hardwood floors, huge windows, and completely open gourmet kitchens. The chic cooking spaces typically hug one or two walls, with stone counters, attractive maple cabinetry, upscales stainless steel appliances, and large dining/prep islands.

Bathrooms are similarly stylish, and many of the units also have gas fireplaces. In-unit washers and dryers are standard, sometimes in their own laundry rooms and in other instances, tucked neatly away in closets. Large private terraces are found on three sides of the building, and some upper level balconies offer river views. The pet-friendly building is located quite close to the Mississippi River and its accompanying Mississippi Walking Trail. Residents enjoy a handsome front lobby, a large state-of-the-art fitness center, and a community room with a kitchen for socializing. There is also heated garage parking as well as storage lockers.

You’ll find all sorts of local businesses, shops, restaurants, and other cultural attractions in the surrounding area. Whether it’s fine dining, casual cafes, funky coffee shops, or eclectic clothing boutiques, today’s North Loop is a perfect location for the vibrant urban crowd.
